Affinibody Discusses Directed Evolution of DNA Polymerase with a Nobel Laureate at the Proteins & Peptides Conference

The 4th Proteins & Peptides Conference opened in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 24, 2023. Organized by Menicon, MIT and the University of Geneva, the meeting brought together international experts to share advances in protein structure, interactions and identification, as well as innovative peptide engineering, promoting scientific exchange and collaboration in biotechnology.

Affinibody's founder, Professor Lichun He, was invited to present NMR-guided directed evolution of DNA polymerase. Affinibody has independently developed a proprietary nanobody selection method that requires little specialized equipment, preserves library diversity and provides reliable high-throughput selection (>10^5), while enabling nanobody selection and expression in the same workflow.

About Ada Yonath

Israeli protein crystallographer Ada Yonath pioneered X-ray crystallographic studies of ribosome structure and large molecular complexes. She shared the 2009 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Venkatraman Ramakrishnan and Thomas Steitz for studies of ribosome structure and function.
